Very homey and cozy (our room even had a small box with plush mice "sleeping" in it - an adorable addition to the room!). The room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette. The lobby was very welcoming, and there were always fresh home-baked goods and some home-grown veggies. Outside there were horses and 2 very cute dogs, and the whole atmosphere is of a family farm - in the best way possible! We had to check-in late and the instructions the owners left us on how to enter the room were very detailed (and quite hilarious).

Its the Best place to stay in the golden Circle, the hot tub was incredible, we saw Amazon auroras, the owner was such a cool guy, the Breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend it.

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

The bright, modern rooms feature wooden floors and private bathrooms. Some include either a terrace or balcony. The surrounding views take in the Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes. The junior suite was a lovely little private yellow cabin with views over the snowy surroundings and a little river. The dinner was just perfect and they were so helpful with allergies, same for the breakfast.

In extra pros, we were able to bbq in a unique place and the hosts were very friendly and welcomed us warmly. Fully recommended!
