The family helped us arrange a tuktuk in the early hours for the hike up Pidurangala Rock and recommended visiting Sigiriya Rock for sunset, which was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, the pool fantastic on these hot, sultry December days, and the wildlife amazing: monkeys, peacocks, and nearby elephants which we glimpsed in the dark. Best of all was the delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food, and the kind and friendly family. It is a little way out of the village but this is easily accessed by tuktuk. It is Aldo nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

It is also really close the Lion’s rock and located next to some really nice restaurant! The Sri Lankan breakfast was also delicious!

The big clean room and the great breakfast, the lovely swimming pool and the amazing view of the lion Rock. And the soursop juice is a must try. Sweet andq sour with aq hit of salty that is great for the wheather. Highly recommend! It is a very new hotel. All the facilities works well. Hot Water! Air conditioning and the pool. The pool is a real angel after a hiking or lion rock or a half day safari. It makes our stay very relexing. You can ask the hotel help on Safari booking which may be a slightly expensive than the street, however they got us a very expensive guide who has been working as a guide 10 yrs. We got to see a lot of elephants, peecocks, birds in just 3 hours. They almost always the first jeep to spot/trecking the elephants that makes us a great spots to get our photos.

We even missed his homecooked food when we moved to different location. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at Dew Ashi Homestay, while cycling can be enjoyed nearby. We loved our stay at Dew Ashi. Sugi and Tharu were so lovely and attentive. We felt truly looked after and spoilt during our stay. Would 100% recommend.
