The owner really looked after us well. Our stay was extremely comfortable. We booked the room with two beds and it was spacious and clean. They provide simple breakfast, it was yummy and homely. Location was superb, close to bike hire and China's tuktuk. We rented bikes based on the owner's recommendation for two consecutive days with great value. Two adult bikes and two kids bikes. The only thing I will note is that the shower does not drain quickly enough (so it pools), but this is very minor and did not impact our experience at all. At first glance, we thought it would be difficult to get food. But this is not the case. There are many eateries available within a short walking distance. The green lake within walking distance as well. A special thumbs-up for Lingling, the manager, who does everything within her possibilities to assist her guests. She borrowed me a sim card the first day and went with me to the service centre of the provider to buy a sim card and stayed there in the queue with me until they actually installed the card in my phone. Built in 2017, the property includes sauna and hot tub. The accommodation provides room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. The hotel is located near the old town and easily contacted by wechat, the owner is friendly and responded us very quickly. You can book car service to pick up from airport here with reasonable price. The same with tours around the city such as trip to Snow Moutain, Lugu lake,.... Room is nice, clean, and warm with air-conditioner, hair dryer, shampoo and everything else, I don't need to bring any of those with me in this trip. Especially if you love cake, try the rose cake from the hotel. It is so good I have to ask the owner to order for me to bring home as gift. They offer better prices than you go buy it yourself out in the old town. To sum up, it was a very pleased experience with Gemmer Hotel and Lijiang Old Town.

The property is around 10 minutes' car journey from Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture Museum. The property is located a 34-minute car ride from Dali Ancient City and Cangshan Scenic Area. The Chongsheng Temple and the Three-Pagoda is located within 40 minutes' drive from the hotel. The nearest airport is Dali Airport, around 20 minutes' car journey from the property. The location is not near to the old town, it takes around 15 mins by taxi to it. However its view of this hotel is fantastic, I really enjoyed the sunset view from my balcony.

Housed in a hundred-years-old Bai ethnic group style building, the property maintains the historic elements yet decorated with modern amenities. Location in the middle of old town, lots of restaurants, shops, etc. We loved living in an historical preserved courtyard house. Breakfast was ok, local warm cooked food as well as bread. Local coffee was very good.

InterContinental Kunming is a 10-minute drive from Xishan Forest Park and Haigeng Park. Kunming Railway Station is a 30-minute drive away while Kunming Changshui Airport is a 40-minute drive away. Everything is expected of InterContinental, but one exceptional is the staff that is over expectation. Mr. Smulin Li, the hotel concierge is extremely helpful with everything. Made our stay much smoother.
