The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. Set amidst lush paddy fields surrounded by lush greens, the property is just 10-minute drive away from the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic. One of the best hotels I have stayed in in Sri Lanka. It was very enjoyable and had all the facilities a family needs. The staff were very nice and helpful, especially the employee Mihirini. She was more than willing to help us. Thank you all.

The breakfast buffet was scrumptious, offering a wonderful mix of authentic Sri Lankan dishes and international options, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The parking area was another highlight — spacious and directly connected to the lift and rooms, which made it super convenient.

The Ayurvedic treatments and wellness programs were life-changing, and the team are so positive and treated us with so much kindness and thoughtfulness. The food was beyond amazing—every meal was filled with such flavour. Santani gave us everything we needed to truly sought to reconnect and release going into the new year. It’s a place that feels magical, and we can’t wait to come back.

Bathrooms come with bathrobes, free toiletries and a hairdryer. One of the most enchanting places on earth! Nihal took exceptional care of us from the very first moment. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and we felt warmly welcomed. The property, the garden, and the pool are truly magical. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast, and both meals were absolutely delicious. The chef Idika came personally to check in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The location is in Kandy, just a five-minute tuk-tuk ride from the city centre. The hotel also kindly offered to drive us back and forth. Overall, a five-star-plus experience.

The team at the house went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable! The attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made our experience exceptional.
