The historic mountain hotel Pilatus-Kulm**** was built in 1890 and completely renovated in 2010. It has 27 superior double rooms and 3 junior suites, all with breathtaking views of the Alpine panorama. Every room comes with a TV. Some rooms include a seating area for your convenience. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer. We stayed for two nights and got to climbed the peaks and see alps in the distance which was breathtaking! The half board option is really ideal for us and helped us to secure nice table and food choice. They also provide us free cable or cogwheels tickets for the 2nd day that allowed us to decent to Kriens and Lucerne. We would highly recommended this place to stay for at least two nights if you love mountains and nature. The staffs are thoughtful and friendly.

Château Gütsch is set in a 19th-century castle, overlooking the town of Lucerne and Lake Lucerne, with views to the Rigi Mountain. The interior was renovated and designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Free WiFi access is available. The room was exceptional with a stunning lake view. Lumieres restaurant was a great choice for dinner. Food was perfectly cooked and sweets are to die for.

Featuring a free extensive spa and wellness area, Aquafit Sursee is located in Sursee, a 5-minute walk from the train station. All modern rooms are fitted with granite floors, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The location, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and a shopping center, was perfect for us. We enjoyed the access to the swimming pool and sauna, which was included in the price. The breakfast buffet was generous, and all the hotel personnel were amazing. The hotel and rooms were very clean. We occupied a total of three rooms; two were perfect, but room #3 did not have adequate clearance between the bed and the wall to pass by. The beds were very comfortable, and the WiFi was excellent. As is common in Switzerland, there was no A/C in any of the rooms, but a fan was provided. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning, especially as the owner mentioned plans to renovate all the rooms and add a restaurant on the top floor.
