The apartment had more than enough parking, was really warm, cozy and clean. Host was so generous with tons of welcome food and wine. It was equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a dishwasher. Just felt like home. Sarnen was a nice quiet town with a 50 minute drive to Interlaken, a bit closer to Luzern. Next time I won't be going all the way to Interlaken, but there are tons of places to enjoy near Sarnen. Would love to come back soon.

The resort consists of two buildings, the family friendly Lago Lodge and the Mountain Lodge, which are connected by a tunnel. What a location! It doesn't have to be winter for this to be beautiful. We stayed in the non-kids area and it was great. Lovely rooms, good food, amazing location... The spa area was nice as well. The non clothed area has multiple types of sauna, steamcabin and a good area to cool down. If you want to drive up, read the information because it is special. Friendly staff!

The Hotel Waldegg - Adults only enjoys an elevated south-facing position in Engelberg. It offers panoramic mountain views, a spa area with an indoor pool, and a restaurant. Free Wi-Fi is available, and a free ski bus stops right in front of the hotel in winter. The location, hotel, location, spa area and the most of all Hotel Waldegg staff are impeccable. The rooms and all facilities are clean and tidy (twice daily room service!). The views are breathtaking. We couldn’t recommend this place more. Whether you search for active ski holiday or relaxing trip with leisure and views - this is an excellent choice.

The lounge bar is a stylish place to sip an aperitif, a digestif or an aromatic coffee. Central location. Beautiful looking hotel with modern decor. Friendly staff. The sauna area was an added treat. We had the place to ourselves. The mountain views surrounding the whole town were picturesque. Lovely outdoor terrace for dinner & drinks. Cute town, great base for us (we had a car) to spend the day doing Grindelwald/interlaken (1 hr drive) without having to pay the hugely expensive prices of those towns. And also mount Pilatus which was only 25min. I would recommend this hotel for sure
