And nights are quiet and peaceful once the ferry’s and day visitors leave. The shuttle was wonderful and much appreciated. We loved the pool. Breakfast was simple and good start to the day. 15 minutes walk to the Anacapri centre were there are shops and restaurants.

The Canasta Hotel is a modern establishment which has recently been renovated. All of its guest rooms are tastefully furnished and contain modern amenities. Great situation and lovely staff. They even gave us a free room upgrade for our kids so we could be closer together. Communication was excellent and they were in touch to let us know they’d got our room ready for us early so we were able to check in at 10.30am! We really felt they went out of their way to be helpful and to make our stay as easy as possible. Breakfast was delicious and the homemade lemon marmalade is a must!

A varied buffet breakfast is served daily from 07:30 to 10:30, including pastries, fruit juices and cheeses. The restaurant features a terrace with sea view and drinks are available from the stylish wine bar. From the minute we walked through the door we knew we had stepped into a special hotel. Hot and tired from our trip we were ushered to a table on the balcony with the most exceptional view and asked what we’d like to drink on the house. We were given a free upgrade as well. Breakfast was phenomenal and I loved that everything was included including the freshly cooked breakfast of choices of eggs pancakes, sides of salmon and avocado. You name it they had it and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. Antonio our fabulous maître de was a delight and we were sad to say goodbye to him. The location of the hotel was perfect, just at the end of the high end shopping strip.
