The room was very comfortable and the staff we friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the onsen and also the piano recital in the hotel lobby after dinner.

NIPPONIA HOTEL Ozu Castle Town se nachází v destinaci Ōzu. Ozu Castle se nachází 1 km daleko a Ozuryosochinshu Hachiman Shrine 3 km. Nipponia Hotel Ozu developed an interesting strategy. VMG, the parent company, purchased, repaired, updated & renovated existing historic properties in Ozu, which is a small town in Ehime prefecture. Thus the lobby, rooms/villas, lounge & dining venues are scattered throughout the castle town section of Ozu. Our unit was the home of a silk merchant. VMG kept both the upstairs living area separate from the entry & bathroom. A nice touch was using Hinoki wood in the construction of the furo. There is wifi but no television or any unnecessary electronics, we missed none of it... The meals were both Kaiseki but the breakfast had a fusion feel to the dishes. We didn't use the lounge, but appreciated its presence. The surrounding areas involve narrow original streets & is very walkable. I constantly thought of Kurashiki but on a smaller more initimate scale. Close-by is a riverside walk that leads to a bridge over the Hijikawa river with an unobstructed view of Ozu castle. The morning we left I walked to the Ozu Shrine & marvelled in the Fall colors & fog in the valleys, Truly a photographic moment. I enjoyed the ambiance of the town, the effort by VMG to realistically retain the flavor of Meiji-Taisho life, while providing an income source to the local community.

Yamatoya Besso se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Dogo Onsen v destinaci Macujama. Joshin-ji Temple se nachází 600 metrů daleko, Matsuyama Shrine 900 metrů a Miyukiji Temple 1,5 km. It has good location, not far from Dogo Onsen. Very nice and helpful staff.

Located in Kasuga, 26 km from Takamatsu, Asan Kotonami features a terrace and views of the mountain. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Very clean and modern. Lovely rooms and great food

Staying at this hotel for 2 nights was one of the highlights of our trip. Our room was comfortable and very spacious, the meals were exceptional, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the hot spring facility is amazing with fabulous views across the valley. The local scenery is breathtaking. Great value for money!

A 15-minute walk from JR Kotohira Station, Kotohira Kadan offers natural hot spring baths and spacious Japanese-style rooms, some with a private outdoor hot spring bath. This property is truly a gem. While I can comment only on the room we stayed in, room 503 which was a Japanese style room, I would rate it as a 10/10. The staff are all lovely. Every single staff member that crossed our path was very helpful, polite and friendly. Our room had a gorgeous 180 degree view over Kotohira. The sound of the river below was so nice. If I was to stay again, I would stay in a western style room simply because I found it difficult to get off the floor. I peeked in room 302 on my way out and think any western room on that side of that building with that view, could not be beat. We did not have our dinners at the hotel but did have breakfast every day for the four days we were there. The amount of food is enough to set you for the entire day. I enjoyed a vegetarian western breakfast while my husband enjoyed the Japanese breakfast. The food is delicious, the presentation is beautifully done and the service is exceptional. Such a hard working team. The staff were happy to take us to the train station whoever we wanted to go on a day trip. A day trip to the Iya valley and one to the Ritsurin gardens should not be missed.

Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan se nachází v destinaci Macujama a poskytuje zahradu, terasu, bar a ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a výhledem na řeku. One of the best hotel/ryokan I’ve stayed! The decoration of the entire place is amazing, with so many details. The place is renovated from a 100 year old house. It has the traditional Japanese houses charm but also clean and comfortable (with AC and other amenities). The garden is beautiful - you can just tell how much efforts the host has put into this house. The host is very nice and helpful, offered to pick us up and bring us to the airport, and even asked whether we needed umbrella when we were visiting Matsuyama. The whole place felt so calm and peaceful, I slept very well every night and woke up with natural sunshine feeling refreshed. Simply stunning and highly recommended. The surrounding neighborhoods is also very interesting to walk around with lots of good restaurants to offer. Remember to check out the Italian restaurant Flor and the taco place just down the street!

Yunaginoyu Hotel Hanajyukai se nachází v destinaci Takamacu. Liminal Air-core Takamatsu se nachází 3,7 km daleko a Sunport Fountain 3,7 km. A very welcoming staff. The view on the terrace and the roof-top onsen are such a great experience.

JR Hotel Clement Tokushima se nachází v destinaci Tokušima a nabízí bar a výhled na město. Tokušima vlakové nádraží se nachází 40 metrů daleko. The staffs are helpful. Our room was big and comfortable for four nights stay!!
