Dinner and breakfast were both beautiful, unique and delicious. They really cater to making the most of the regional Tochigi cuisine and specialties. Room was clean and all the amenities were well though out and high quality. The room with the open air bath was well worth it alone so everything else was a bonus. I did not check out the public bath due to tattoo policy.

Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. Our stay at Honke Bankyu offered a memorable Japanese experience. Located in a charming rural village, this traditional ryokan is well maintained, very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and offer impeccable service.

I am afraid our stay at Kinugawa Keisui might have destroyed our expectations towards other hotels for the future. I can only describe it as absolutely outstanding. Beginning with the scenario location next to a forest and a small river, the huge, modern, beautiful and amazingly comfortable room, which didn‘t only feature several small welcome presents, a minibar filled with a wide (and free) variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and huge and comfortable beds, ending at the most outstanding breakfast and dinner consisting I was allowed to witness in Japan, the hotel and the amazingly kind and professional staff made our stay to be nothing but amazing. There are some many small details we could list, such as the outdoor fire place where you can read a book in a calm and relaxed atmosphere sipping your coffee, the bento boxes for travels during the day, the Onsen on your balcony for which you can adjust the temperature to your perfect needs, the entertainment system in your room should you chose to relax here, the staff which gives you privacy should you want it but helps with any need you might have, the fast and stable internet anywhere in the hotel and and and. We usually don‘t book hotels again, but we will definitely return here during our next Japan trip.

This place is amazing -- luxurious yet comfortable. The staff was wonderful. Our room was perfect, as was the ensuite onsen bath, and the food was delicious. We loved our time at Fufu Nikko!

Iwaiyado Jyuan Nikko Kawaji onsen se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Kawaji Onsen v destinaci Nikko. We loved our stay at this charming ryokan. The rooms were spacious and the meals were delicious with plenty of variety and a lovely exposure to local cuisine. Most of the staff spoke English and made many helpful suggestions for what we should see in the area (including arranging for a private hire of a taxi for the day which let us see a lot more int he area in the time we had available).

Nanaeyae se nachází v atraktivní lokalitě ve čtvrti Kinugawa Onsen v destinaci Nikko. Tobu Nikko vlakové nádraží se nachází 21 km daleko, Vlakové nádraží Nikko 22 km a Svatyně Nikko Tošogu 25 km. The kaiseki dinners and breakfasts were clearly the highlight of the stay. They might arguably have been worth the entire cost of the stay, and make the ryokan itself a destination for a quick trip from Tokyo. The setting is beautiful, looking down over a rushing mountain river. The staff were attentive and seemed to be genuinely sweet and caring people.

Kinugawa Grand Hotel Yumenotoki se nachází v destinaci Nikko a nabízí ubytování s fitness centrem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, zahradou a terasou. Tobu Nikko vlakové nádraží je 20 km daleko. EVERYTHING!!!! The hotel is stunning! The service was wonderful. The food was amazing (we eat Kosher and no raw fish) and we booked it 2 months in advance after another ryokan couldn't prepare food for us even tho they said they could, and immidiately I;ve got a reply to my request with questions and a will to accomodate us and we really apriciate it. The onsen was a dream (especcially the outdoor one). Our friend had to live after one night in instead of 2 and the person who did our check in was nice and suggested to give her some refund wvwn tho it was same day notice. Will definitly come back again if we have the chance and will recommed it to everyone weknow :)
