We loved our stay at Sansuien. The staff were welcoming and super helpful. We needed to send our bags to Hagi by takkyubin and they were very helpful getting this to happen. Thank you. The meals were all outstanding. 13 dishes for dinner and healthy, fresh, tasty and fun. Don't forget to look around their beautiful gardens.

We booked a corner suite which was honestly Japan fabulous. Overlooking the exquisite gardens and with anything one might want, although very traditionally Japanese. The stone tub private onsen was excellent. We arrived in the midst of a late heat wave and the a/c worked well, even in the "traditional" part of the lodging. Breakfast was served in a private booth and was wonderful. The staff was helpful and attempted to accommodate non-English speakers in our party.

Loved that they had a family room that could easily fit the five of us. Location was next to convenient stores and izakaya and had ample parking. On the night we showed up later in the evening, the staff had reserved parking stalls for guests and made sure we could still park. Nice local snacks in the room. Onsen was nice.
