Peaceful Retreat in Chiang Mai Our stay at this newly built villa surrounded by jungle and farming land was wonderful. Everything was spotless and new, and the views were absolutely stunning. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, greeting us warmly upon arrival—even with our last-minute, late-night booking—and preparing a delicious meal for us. They even waved us off when we left, which made the experience feel extra special. We needed to check out extra early, and the hosts thoughtfully accommodated this by preparing breakfast for us, which we enjoyed while watching the sunrise. It was a magical moment that truly made our stay unforgettable. Whilst the villa is secure, as with anywhere in Thailand, there can occasionally be unwanted insects. We had bug spray with us, so it wasn’t an issue, but we’re sure that if we had mentioned it to the hosts, they would have had some on hand and handled it right away. The serene surroundings and peaceful atmosphere made this an incredible escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy Thailand’s natural beauty!

Camp Cayla – Eden is such a beautiful and unique little paradise right in Chiang Mai. They only have two camps and we stayed at the larger one which is really spacious. It is a huge platform covered by a tarp, with two tents (one bedroom and one living room tent) and a very large, modern and clean private bathroom. Next to the tents is a seating area with a huge daybed next to a pond with a waterfall. You have even a wooden bathtub with hot water right next to the waterfall, which our son really enjoyed. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. The bedroom tent has a proper queen-size bed, bedside tables and a carpet floor. It has air conditioning and even an air purifier. The living room tent has a couch and coffee table, a smart TV and a free minibar and snack offering. If you are coming with 4 persons you can add extra beds in that tent as well. We spent most of the time outside relaxing on the daybed. We also ordered their BBQ dinner set which they prepare for us and we did the grilling ourselves. It included skewers with a variety of meat and vegetables, as well as salad, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, corn and home-made sauces which were very delicious. We also also order breakfast which will was served at the camp as well. They have a western and an Asian option. We tried both and we can absolutely recommend them. Camp Cayla is located in Suthep a very nice neighbourhood with artisan places, beautiful coffee places and restaurants. The artisan village Bann Kang Wat is right next door and you can walk there easily through the back entrance. Also just a few meters away is the Lamour café, a charming restaurant with great food. Wat Umong, one of the oldest temple in northern Thailand, is worth a visit too and only a few minutes away. We were so lucky finding Camp Cayla and we enjoyed our stay very much. Our son had lots of fun as well. Also their staff is very friendly and caring. They provided a great service and just rounded up the whole experience.

The hostel owner PJ is the kindest woman to ever run a hostel. She offered for me to join her for dinner and cooked me some delicious food both nights I stayed. Extremely friendly and homely hostel. My all time favourite stay for of family vibes

Mr Pichai was súper super with us, made us feel at home. 100% recommended, we were going for 2 days and extended to 5. They have 3 little dogs addorable

Location was perfect. The room was massive and super clean. Additional laundry and cooking facilities in the roof terrace too. I’ll be coming back.

Good vibe, nice view and excellent staff

Such a beautiful place with stunning views of the mountains. We stayed in one of the bubble rooms and the bathtub was amazing. The staff were so accomodating and regularly checked in to see if we needed anything. The shower was also really good (one of the best we had in Thailand). It’s a great location for exploring Chiang Dao. They offer a dinner service as well which is fairly priced and tasted great. No need to stress if you arrive late in the day and are hungry.

Definitely will come back 2 days of vacation is not enough. All staff are very friendly and food is amazing even thought it is limited options. worth the money.

The cabin was placed nicely to face the sunrise. The bed sheets were comfortable and the place was neat and tidy. The staff was welcoming and helpful. They went about and beyond. From the laundry services to preparing our bbq. They were even nice enough to help us get transportation when we needed last minute.
