The best location by the beautiful Galano river where you can dine in candlelight looking at the stars and sit around a campfire or lounge on the decks . Breezy , comfortable breakfast area again overlooking the river . Perfect relaxation after a game drive - a swim in the infinity pool , looking at crocs, hippo and elephants in the stretch of river below . So easy to get to on a quiet tarmaced road from Malindi , no crazy Nairobi road !!! Wonderful to have game drives along the river with knowledgable guides. Staff are super friendly and helpful , nothing too much trouble .

Guests will have a special experience as this tent features a pool with a view. This eco rretreat has a wonderful location, and the manager Jacob is super helpful as I arrived unannounced to meet up with a sailing crew, and he helped with all our anchoring needs, kept our food in the fridge overnight, and so many other things. The food is great, tell them in advance you will be eating there. The tented rooms are comfortable and so peaceful. There are 2 family cottages, but I didnt see inside of those. It is lovely to stay in the forest, but beware monkey troupes which can overrun the camp at any time. the pool is huge and awesome to cool off

Specially the people working in the restaurant, bar and the boy at the pool. They are always very willing to help and make your stay special. The place offers incredible views over the Mida creek. The swimming pool area is lovely, the garden is beautiful and well maintained. The food is great, there are plenty delicious options that were well prepared and presented. There is a boat transfer that is free to use between Lichthuis and the hotel, which is very convenient.

This spacious tent has a large patio facing the Sante River. It includes 4-poster beds with mosquito nets and large, netted windows. It was so beautiful, quiet place, and the ambiance was everything.

We spent 4 wonderful days in this hotel. It was a brilliant place to rest after the earlier safari. We stayed in a tent which was very well decorated. We liked very large beds. The camp is extremely quiet, wild animals ( elephants, zebras ect.)approached the tents and the restaurant almost every day! There is no fence, but it is very well protected. Very good food, which is not so common in this type of places. Bravo to the cook! The entire team is extremely nice and helpful! Very nice swimming pool. We really recommend this place, specially that is not very very expansive:))

Tenda con ingresso indipendente. Situato a Kilifi Creek, a soli 3 km dalla città e circondato da una foresta comunità, il Distant Relatives Ecolodge and Backpackers offre una spiaggia appartata, un... Questo posto è un vero paradiso. Immerso nella natura, dotato di tutti i comfort. Staff gentile, sempre sorridente e a disposizione. Ottimi piatti da mangiare tutta la giornata. Un senso di pace che riempie l’anima. C’è anche l’accesso ad una spiaggia bellissima. Non vedo l’ora di tornarci. Grazie a tutti lo staff per gli splendidi giorni trascorsi.
