Nirvaan is a wonderful lodge in the middle of nature and very close to Wilpattu national park. We were lucky to be around when Ranil, the owner, was there. Ranil is a respected conservation biologist and a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna in Wilpattu and in Sri Lanka at large. He arranges safaris with good naturalists and drivers. His trips may be a bit more costly than what other providers will offer you, but you get a better jeep where you can interact with the guide and driver while you drive. We saw lots of wildlife even though we did not see the big ones- elephants and leopards. Ranil runs an organisation that aims to protect wildlife in cooperation with local people. He was so kind to take us to see one of the projects nearby. We admire the work he does. We highly recommend this lodge.

Situated in Achchamulai, Wilpattu Green Cabin features accommodation with seating area. The property has lake and river views. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. The staff were really helpful. Food was amazing. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience.

For the meals only option, safaris could be arranged with the camp directly, at an additional cost to be paid directly to the property. A quaint and great outdoor experience. The tents were very clean and the beds provided were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly but especially the chef - Chanaka(?) - was very considerate about providing a gluten-free meal for two members of our party

Great bungalow type rooms with terrace and lovely shower . Loved the outdoor gym. Cant recommend this place enough. Loved it.

Decorated in rich and bright orange, all air-conditioned tents feature a spacious verandah with comfortable seating. En suite bathrooms are equipped with a relaxing rainshower. The beach location was wonderful. The tents were really comfortable and well-equipped. The swimming pool was quiet and sea two steps away. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing with delicious curries and dal, fruit and cakes and eggs etc. The staff arranged our dolphin boat trip and the dolphins swam around underneath us - a magical experience. Great spot for bird watching too. We highly recommend Dolphin Beach Resort - a very special place.
