From the moment we met Larbi there was an instant connection. His welcoming warmth made us feel at home. We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

The best food so far, despite being in the desert. Amazing people who are flexible and chill. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Also a real sand desert

Most friendly, knowledgeable and kind host. The location is amazing as well and I really wouldn’t change anything to it (and I’m German, we usually criticise everything 😅)

Camera con 4 letti. Citadelle Gorges offre una sala comune, una terrazza, un bar e massaggi ad Aït Ben Ali. Outstanding location! Ideal for before/after the Dades gorge. The parking is on the street and you have to walk a 50 meters path to the hotel. The staff helped us carry all the baggage. The room was clean and the view was outstanding, so was the view from the rooftop terraces. Ideal for having a beer (if you buy it elsewhere) after a long ride.

Il miglior tempo speso in Marocco è stato in questo luogo. Daoud e la sua famiglia ci hanno aperto le porte della loro casa, luogo semplice e confortevole. Ricco di dettagli nel quale non manca nulla. Organizzano anche tour nel neserto e la visita alla Kasba antica del paese.

This tent has a kitchen, washing machine and private entrance. Chegaga Berber Camps offre alloggi con cucina a M'Hamid. Amazing experience in the dunes of Erg Chigaga. The location just in the middle of the dunes is perfect and very relaxing. Mohammed was very friendly and nice. The transfer to the camp was interesting as we were going through a desert storm so it took over 2 hours. On the way back, it took 1.5 hours. Transfer was for 90€. I would definitely go to this camp again for more nights. 🙂
