The cabin was nice and cozy, even though it gets pretty hot during the day (at night it becomes bearable with the fan on). Good hot shower! The elephants in the pool are breathtaking and the highlight of this amazing place.

Lions and cheetahs were our favorites. Loved the hot towels on arrival and after safaris. The menu was varied and the food was excellent. Would recommend.

I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

It was a short walk to the main buildings with the restaurant and pool. Staff were attentive and friendly across the board. There are two game drives a day, and we were lucky enough to see all Big Five animals during our two day stay, a testament to the guides’ expertise. When not on drive there was a gym, driving range and pétanque pitch for those who fancied an activity, and hammocks, comfortable chairs and a pool for those who would rather relax. The food was of a high quality both in taste and presentation. We had an absolutely fantastic few days and would highly recommend to anyone looking to go on safari in the Kruger!
