Guests will have a special experience as this tent features a fireplace. Offering free toiletries and bathrobes, this tent includes a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, a bath and a hairdryer. It truly is a 5 star glamming experience in every way! You can opt for self catering and the provision for that is outstanding - or do what we did, used the restaurant on site. They will also bring the restaurant to your tent and you just order from the menu! Every evening there was a full turn down service so that your tent was warm and cosy and heating, including electric blankets supplied. Our stay was in August so chilly at night. Our tent was in front of the river and every evening we lit a fire and gazed at the stunning night sky. An absolutely clear sky and we could switch off the main light switch to facilitate this. Though remote we had excellent wifi facilities. The staff were superb hosts and made sure every expectation of our stay was met and more. When we received our joining instructions and realised our little car would struggle with the road to Mbizane, a member of staff gave us secure parking at her home and took us to the site with all our luggage. We really appreciated this as the road is challenging. However, with the option to get a lift on a 4x4 vehicle this was no longer a problem.

Our knowledgeable guide Leo found so many amazing animals, this was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The staff were exceptional, our tent was excellent, the food was incredible.

Everything was beyond my expectation and made my trip magical. The staff and drivers are great, they are very friendly and warm and make you feel like at home. The location is awesome. They are a private reserve, but there is no fence, so animals from other reserve can roam here, and you might get a chance to see them. Also, they can go off-road which makes the games so much more interesting. We saw everything except the leopard. The pool at the main area is a huge attraction. The elephants regularly visited the pool to drink water when we were staying, and we got a chance to see them very close. The tents are very comfortable with heating mattress (helpful for colder nights).

Situated in Manyeleti Game Reserve, Buffelshoek Tented Camp offers a garden and barbecue. Sabi Sand Game Reserve is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. No fences around this camp so animals are literally at your doorstep. Food was remarkable and the game drives go up really close to the animals. Very kind people and comfortable accommodation.
