The location of the Boschendal Estate is in one of the most beautiful areas in the western cape. The estate itself is just amazing. Both the accommodation and the level of service is absolutely phenomenal. We had an amazing dinner at Die Werf Restaurant which was very tasty and made very good, as well as the hospitality and the wine. And we also had some wine pairing at the cellar door and staff was very nice, very informative about the wine selection and was very friendly.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at; not only in Franschhoek, but of all the places I have ever stayed at before. It is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The farm and surroundings are gorgeous and peaceful, and the location to the town center is perfect. One could stay here in the winter or the summer, due to the indoor fireplace, hot tub and outdoor braai area. I love that it is also very private. Our host was extremely attentive; responding immediately whenever we asked her something. She was very friendly, helpful, and it was clear that she wanted us to enjoy our stay. We will now be staying here every time that we are in Franschhoek!

The hot tub and fireplace are the special features of this tent. Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a microwave in the well-equipped kitchen. Everything. The entire stay was wonderful. We wish we had booked a 2nd nite.

The tent provides air conditioning, a private entrance, a balcony with garden views as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. The unit offers 1 bed. The property is gorgeous. Like a garden oasis with mountains and trees surrounding it. You drive through farms to get there, and one of our four accommodations has a view of both mountains and farmland. The other three had an enchanting view into a misty forest. So well maintained, with every little thing thoughtfully considered. We are already trying to figure out a way to bring visiting family back here.

Hartenbos Private Game Lodge is a privately-owned escape set in the malaria-free region of Hartenbos, Mossel Bay situated on the Garden Route. Stunning view from the tent and from the lodge. The safari trips were exceptional!

Featuring views of the Swartberg Mountains, each bush tent has its own open-air hot tub. There are coffee/tea facilities, plugs and in/outside lights, electric blankets, and a deck area. Everything was amazing! Especially the hosts Tracy and Karen; they were lovely! Would definitely recommend!! Thank you for having us 😊
