This was the most welcoming stay in Japan that I experienced. We came in the evening and the host provided us a ride to a nearby mall to eat and the big spa facility where we could spend time for free using a coupon that they gave us. Breakfast was also very good. Nice place

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. We had such an excellent stay at this aubege! Toshi san met us at the train station and within 10 minutes we were in a very quiet place of this auberge. It was a serene stay with delicious breakfast and dinner. Toshi san also has an impressive natural wine selection. We highly recommend getting dinner there. We wish we could stay longer, but it was fully booked for the next nights.

Very big and well decorated and equipped. Realy nice with beautiful garden and calm atmosphere. The owner is wonderful woman. With a lot of good will and she is very helpful. She took us by her car from and to the stations, and also to a very good coffee house, so we could explore the area although we didn't have a car. It really quite unique and we have many good words to say about her. The area is really green and nice with Inuyama as the closest city in which there are beautiful old streets, nice castle and close open museum. We had a great time there especially for the worm hospitality and beautiful house.

A 39 km da Castello di Inuyama, 百笑宿場couch propone un alloggio a Motosu provvisto di giardino, terrazza e cucina in comune. Now, this was something special. An old farm turned.into a vacation home. We could live here! Old and traditional feel, but clean, everything is well taken care of and with modern amenities. Just outside a small village, very peaceful, a great garden and a large net at the gate that should be closed at night to keep wild animals out. Nothing scary, mostly deer and wild cats I suppose 😊. One thing you should know: do some proper supermarket shopping on your way 'home'. Waste of time to drive 10+ km for just a box of eggs. But don't worry about drinking water and ice; this is available in the house.
