It all flows from our host, Hege Kirsten, whose warm personality and intelligence makes Overvoll Farm unique. The dinner she served was a gastronomical extravaganza! For me it was the best meal I had during our 2 week visit to Norway. All the salads and relishes were prepared with farm fresh ingredients and to my surprise, were raw. The salmon entre' was cooked perfectly. Hege Kirsten is a very accomplished cook and has put care, thought and research into her meals. We also enjoyed excellent conversation on a range of topics.

The old character of the building has been maintained but fully modernized to cater for all your needs. We loved that they used a lot of high quality materials, which makes your stay so much more comfortable. We really cannot think of anything we were missing or would’ve needed some upgrading. It’s spotless clean, the garden and surroundings/views are great. We had to push ourselves to get out of the house because it was so nice inside. Highly recommend!
