Food was absolutely incredibly. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Pool overlooking river with animals coming by. Room had everything you needed and felt very luxurious. The attention to detail was outstanding. We never wanted to leave.

Beds were comfortable but I am used to a very firm mattress. So I suppose I would find most others on the soft side. The location close to the little town and shopping centres of Hazyview which has first class shops like a Woolworths Food where you can buy excellent provisions for a braai or whatever you are planning. Although Hazyview has expanded a lot over the past 30 year since Thulamela was established, this small intimate little B&B with only 6 cabins retains its character and tranquility. Penny, the owner and host is perfect as are the staff, Julia and the lady who brought us our delicious breakfast. Not a cooked breakfast but delicious.
