Very friendly and very helpful and welcoming. Elho (I can't spell his name), the son of the owner was especially helpful. They also heated up my beans I bought from the shop and gave me onions and a delicious piece of cake with cream. They didn't have to do this and this shows how kind and welcoming they are. Thank you for a great time!

To say that we both loved this place wouldn't do it justice! Because we adored it! The apartment is beautifully and tastefully decorated and sitting on the terrace while sipping one of the delicious juices prepared on the spot makes you feel part of a tropical forest. The activities that you can do around Eito abound. Anyway, if you simply choose to stay inside and relax, you've got what you need - Hannelore has thought of everything, from the small details to the big suggestions and recommendations that make a difference. By the way, this is the right place to be for all vegan travellers (and not only them), as the food is delicious! I've had my favourite cachupa of the entire trip around Cabo Verde here! Thank you for making our stay on Santo Antão so special!

I spent 4 days here with a friend and we had such a lovely time staying at Antonio’s hotel. The hotel is tucked away in Eito (around 20mins walk to Pombas) and surrounded by lush vegetation.. a real disconnection from real life :) That being said the wifi works really well if needs be. Antonio was a great help suggesting hikes and restaurants in the area as well as being super friendly. The added bonuses were the breakfast to get ready for the long walks and the pool afterwards! Thanks to Antonio and your team for making the stay super memorable.

Lovely ladies are working there! It wasn't hard to communicate even if they don't speak english. Clean and very nice room. Comfortable bed. And all just goood. Excellent breakfast with lots of choises. Clean and fresh pool was just perfect after long hiking day. Biggest recommendations to this place!

Casa BB&Djassi felt like home - with big thanks to the ladies who take amazing care of the house and their guests, Talyna, Djenny and Ana. The rooms are comfortable, the location great and it was just a happy place to be. I’m not the only one who extended my stay while there! Communication was also excellent - with the team accommodating my request for good internet in my room, as well as providing multiple options to work across the house. I’ll definitely be back. It is close to the port what allows you to take easily the ferry. The staff was so nice, she helped us a lot by calling some places we needed to call because we didn’t have a SIM card. The food of the restaurant was very tasty and good.

We stayed at The Retreat in December and had a fantastic time. The Irish owner (we can’t remember his name) was really welcoming and did his best to make every guest feel at home. You can tell that he truly loves the island, his job and has a passion for hospitality. The meals in the evening were tasty and copious. Nothing was too much in terms of dietary requirements. Dinners were shared as a group which was really handy to get to know people and share experiences and best treks. On the last morning we were going back to the harbour and he gave us a lift. Thank you for a lovely time, we hope to be back at the Retreat soon as it was our favourite place on this beautiful island.
