We loved everything! Mr Ashraf our host treated us like family and helped us organise transport tickets to the sound and light and onward car to aswan. The room was spotless, the beds comfy and a lovely view to the water from our balcony. Highly recommend. Also very close to both temple and town easy walk.

We planned to stay one night in Abu Simbel and we ended staying two! the village is very relaxing, quite, good food and the people are beautiful. The light show at Abu Simbel temple is amazing and unforgettable. Ramadan can also organise a boat trip if you want, he is an amazing host and guide, he helps you with anything you need and want to do. We received free transportation to the temple and he also helped us to get a private ride to Aswan in a a very good price. The apartment is very comfortable and clean, the bed and pillows too. It is a shame so many tours just come to see the temples for the morning before returning to Aswan, as they miss out the wonderful, calm atmosphere here. We highly recommend to stay here! Thank you Ramadan for your hospitality!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Wawat — it was truly the highlight of our entire trip in Egypt. The owner, Assem, was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. His kindness and hospitality made us feel completely at home. Assem speaks excellent English, and communication with him was always smooth and easy, both before and during our stay. He was always available, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our visit as comfortable as possible. The guest house itself is clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly — which was such a relief in the summer heat — and there was strong Wi-Fi and reliable hot water. Everything was well maintained. This was by far the best place we stayed during our time in Egyp. If you’re planning to visit Abu Simbel, I 100% recommend Wawat. Assem is the best host you could hope for, and staying here truly felt like being welcomed into a home, not just a hotel.

Sama Stars Hotel seems to be a reasonably new hotel and the owner/manager, Weal, put a lot of energy into making my stay enjoyable from start to finish. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is excellent value for money. The breakfast was more than I could eat and the dinners (extra cost) were very good also. The rooms are clean and tidy but most important for me, the beds was very comfortable (not hard) and the pillows and bed linen are good quality. The shower provides plenty of hot water for my longer than average showers. People who know how noisy Cairo is, will be surprised by how quiet it is around Sama Stars. The 3 night stay gave me time to visit the Abu Simbel Temples, both during the day and in the evening for the Sound an Light Show. At my request, the hotel arranged a 4x4 trip to to see the 3 Amada site temples and the 3 Wadi Sabua temples. Sometimes you have a special moment on holiday that you cherish forever. For me, the Amada-Wadi Sabua trip is one of those. I am very grateful to Weal for organising it.

Everything. The apartment was spacious, clean, with exellent wifi and AC, which was especialy usefull, becouse daily temeratures reached 37 degres Celsius.Ahmed was very nice and helped us with organising our activities. His mother is great chef and we ate some of the best food in our life.
