I had the absolute pleasure of staying here for 3 nights, and I can honestly say it was one of the most peaceful and heartwarming experiences I've ever had. The place is run by Helen and Spiros, 2 incredible souls who make you feel instantly at home. Helen, originally from Sweden, is gentle, nurturing, and always attentive, like a true mama! Spiros, Greek and full of joy, is like a papa figure, always smiling and ready to share the best local tips. The accommodation itself is a cozy haven, beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and more! I was welcomed with fresh fruit, warm meals, refreshing drinks, and even beach gear that made my seaside days effortless and comfortable. The garden, lovingly cared for by Helen, is full of vibrant flowers, while Spiros tends to the vegetable patch... the fresh figs I had every morning were divine! The location is peaceful and ideal for exploring both popular beaches and hidden gems off the beaten path. The pool was a wonderful bonus, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. I felt safe, calm, and truly cared for. It’s a rare privilege to discover such a lovely place, especially knowing they’ve only just started hosting this year ! Meeting Helen and Spiros was a gift in itself ♥️ I highly recommend this place. I’m already dreaming of coming back!

The staff was extremely kind és compliant. Their hospitality was awesome. ( The landlady welcame us with homemade cake. :) ) The shuttle sevice from and back to the airport was safe, precise and enjoyable. Cleanliness was impeccable. We were properly guided and informed over any matter concerned our stay and entertainment 24/7. Our deepest appreciation for this wonderful experience.

The room is located in a very quiet street just 100 meters away from “Gramboussa” one of the best restaurants on the island, on the road to Balos lagoon and in a position that is convenient to visit the best beaches of the west side of Crete. The little garden is the perfect place where to relax after a great meal looking at the stars under the wonderful trees. You will find here everything you need and even more, we traveled as a couple and we were astonished from the kindness of the owners, mother and daughter that made the experience seamless, they gave us great tips on where to go, the restaurants worth visiting and what to do in the area. Thank you so much again, you really made our holidays :)

After reading a few reviews with personal comments about the staff, I would like to share a different perspective. This is a simple, family-run seaside place in Falasarna — you literally cannot stay closer to the beach. There is a covered parking area right by the door and three tavernas nearby (in early October they were still open; one of them, Gilisma, stayed open the longest, and in the evenings we were often the only guests). The food at En Plo and Gilisma tavernas was very good and reasonably priced. We had two rooms: comfortable beds, working air conditioning and fridge, and a TV — you just need to plug it in 😉. Very clean bed linen and fresh, fragrant towels. The rooms have blinds and shutters, so the morning sun is not a problem. We mostly spoke English, but our basic Greek phrases, learned from many trips to this country, also helped. We were always met with kindness and a smile. The owner was waiting for us at the property to welcome us, and before arrival, the manager confirmed our arrival time and bedding preferences (we were provided with extra blankets and pillows). The owner kindly allowed us to leave our luggage in a locked area on the day of departure and made sure we felt comfortable. Communication with the manager, Elpiniki, through Booking.com messages was always quick and helpful. We stayed in room no. 3 — on the first floor with a beautiful sea view — and room no. 4 overlooking the surroundings. In both rooms, the mattresses were firm and very comfortable, exactly the way we prefer. In early October there was no noise at all, but we always choose the beginning or end of the season for our holidays to enjoy peace and quiet, away from loud music and crowds. For this price, the quality is honestly balanced. If someone expects luxury finishes — the photos clearly show that this is not that kind of place. But if you are looking for the sea, sunsets, and genuine kindness — it’s perfect. Thank you. Σας ευχαριστούμε για όλα. Paweł with family.

We did not expect much and just needed a base for our low-budget road-trip week in Crete. But what we found blew our minds and made us stay in our room more often and longer than we expected: The best location with only a few steps from the beach, supermarket(s) and lots of tavernas and bakeries. We had the best sea view from our balcony and a super comfy room with a large fridge (water and wine included) and even glasses, bowls and plates and a nice bathroom with lots of supplies such as towels, shower gel and shampoo. It was perfect to discover all the highlights and much more of Western Crete. Valentinos was an incredible host and also every single one of his crew was super kind and lovely. We also loved the food from their "Wave" restaurant downstairs where we had dinner right on the beach and which made check-in/out very easy. 10/10 would do again:)

A very enjoyable stay, just wished I could have stayed longer. Friendly and helpful owners. Tasteful decor in old Cretan style. Clean, peaceful garden setting, comfortable bed. Eleas Thea just up the road is the perfect place to eat.

We particularly like this type of accommodation. Athena was very nice. We talked a lot and he recommended shops, restaurants and programs. He was always smiling. The room is clean and tidy, the garden is wonderful. Eating breakfast in the summer kitchen was a perfect start to the day.

Xenia's countryside guesthouse is a perfectly charming place, well maintained, well equipped, well located, comfortable (special mention for the bedding) and spacious. But that's nothing compared to Kostas friendliness and quality of welcome. In a few minutes, we learned everything about trekkings, beaches and restaurants that should not be missed. And Kostas was constantly in our care. We would like to thank him once again for his warm welcome.
