We loved staying upstairs at Toast! The apartment was exceptionally cosy with everything you need for a short stay, self-catering. There is even access to a washing machine, which we weren't expecting and which proved very useful. We were fortunate that our visit coincided with the Christmas market in Haarlem, which added a really wonderful extra dimension to our stay, with music and a festive atmosphere to greet us in the mornings. Toast is in the heart of the city, but we did not find that street noise was an issue - nothing opens until 8 at the earliest and most shops not until 10 and they close at 5 with the street market finishing at 8pm. Even during the day the noise was pleasant and friendly rather than intrusive. We could not recommend the apartment enough for anyone looking to experience Haarlem. The food from the cafe downstairs is also really good - our breakfasts on the final morning kept us going until we got on the Eurostar in the evening!

Amazing bnb in the center of Haarlem! It's only a 8-10min walk to the train station and just behind a bus stop. This is one of the most value for money accommodations in the whole of Netherlands in my opinion. If you want to avoid the crowds and chaos in Amsterdam city, stay in Haarlem for a more peaceful and cozy experience. In addition, it's only a 20min train ride to Amsterdam city. Plus, there are so many shops in Haarlem you might not even need to spend too much time in Amsterdam. I loved the room, though it is a little smaller - I feel like the size is very comparable to all the other bnbs out there. There is no toilet door though but I personally feel like it wasn't an issue. The pillows were the right mix of firm and softness but the bed had a slight dent/slant (?) which made us feel like we were falling into the middle a little. Not the biggest issue though! Comfort was still a solid 9.5/10. Biggest plus point is that this unit had an AC unit! Super helpful during the warmer days and colder days. When we stayed here, the bnb was going through an ownership change but the new owners were super helpful (even though they were super busy with the renovation as well) in assisting us during check in, and helping us out if we need. Shoutout to Sabine especially! We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back :)

The accommodation was close to the city centre, about 20 minutes walking distance, however, it is in a residential quiet area so we could rest. The entire house not only our room and bathroom was very, very clean. Our room had a super comfortable bed and everything, nice view and a cozy vibe. Definitely recommend!!

a barely base for our city break in Amsterdam. The studio flat was beautifully done up with all the facilities you would want for a self catering stay. the host were so friendly and helpful with advice and little touches like wine and biscuits on arrival and fresh water in the fridge every day. quality fittings, regularly cleaned. outstanding location on one of the canals with easy access to museums and all the city sites. highly recommended.

when I arrived at the destination, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the stay looks really splendid, everything was carefully set up, furnished with real finesse and good taste. really luxurious and expensive, a real dream come true for the way I planned to spend my vacation. it is truly a select location, in the heart of Amsterdam, with access to all the pleasures and tourist attractions that this magical city has to offer. The owner, Yacob, is probably the most welcoming host I've met in the many stays I've had over the years. A wonderful man, who offered to help and guide us with absolutely everything we needed, provided us with more than we expected. All in all, I was more than impressed and I want to get to this dream location again, as soon as possible this year. I can't find the words to express the satisfaction of the experience I had at this location, I personally rate it 100/10.
