Beautiful well equipped modern room, very comfy and quiet. Good safe parking. Good wifi and shower. Blix rooms are in an excellent location for restaurants and bars. I can fully recommend. Even though I arrived slightly after 5pm the checkin instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

The guesthouse is in 10 minutes walk to the downtown of Stellenbosch. Even though I came in the middle of the winter, the walk was pleasant. The property itself is nice and the staff is very helpful. My flight arrived late at night, but there was no hold up with the check-in.

Our stay at Baruch guesthouse was lovely! The location is amazing and the people are so wonderful! Mariette, Janette and Chef Tanya in particular went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The service was bespoke to our needs and always done with a smile. For example, they arranged an airport pick up, catered to our vegetarian needs and helped us book a lovely Cape Town day tour which they even packed up lunches to take with us. The attention to detail is incredible and I would highly recommend anymore staying in Stellenbosch to stay at this guesthouse - you won't be disappointed! The staff are so lovely and they treat you as one of their own family members!

    This is the perfect Guesthouse in Stellenbosch with what has to be the best breakfast in all of South Africa. The rooms are charming, well-decorated and with everything you could possibly need. John is a wonderful host and he made my group feel very special. Amazing value for your money. Even if you don't like wine, come to Stellenbosch just so you can stay at Van der Stel Manor.

    Karin is a really great host and she also makes the best breakfast. Communication was easy and check in and out was very flexible. This place is wonderful, so peaceful and very quiet and has a lot of vineyards and restaurants around. Every time again!
