Isabel and Pierre were such wonderful, caring hosts. The sundeck views were spectacular, and it was a very central location. Comfortable bed, nice shower, and a TV with Netflix. Tasty breakfast too! Highly recommend this accommodation.

The welcome on our arrival immediately made us feel very welcome. Introducing the facilities was done in a very relaxed way and provided everything required and above. Provision of ample firewood allowed us to spend fabulous time in front of the fire.Johan and Antone’s sharing of info and interest in what we had to ask/say made them feel like dear friends. The facilities are immaculate and the detail and content of the breakfast, far beyond expectations….thank you so much!!! Very good value for money.

La Sosta is a Boutique hotel is every sense of the word without the price tag of a hotel. This accomodation is a gem, in the town of Swellendam and within walking distance of it's lovely shops, cafes and historic areas. With beautiful maintained grounds and lovely rooms and some of the most friendly welcoming staff we have met . Do not miss the opportunity to dine in their onsite restaurant as you won't be disappointed they have amazing talented chefs who cook with pure passion and innovation to deliver Michelin star quality food at local prices, And what a meal!!!. The food, presention and service is just incredible (so if you don’t stay here, make sure you eat here) as you'll be blown away by the standard and quality. we are so thankful to the team for one of the most memorable stays we’ve had on this trip to Swellendam and SA. A truly wonderful experience, thank you all 😁😁We hope to get back for a third visit in the near future.

We were made to feel very welcome, lovely to see the zebra and springboks at the bottom of the garden, birds nesting and wild life in general. Lovely peaceful setting, everything in the spacious room you could possibly need. Lovely breakfast and nice that the car was washed for our onward journey

We enjoyed our short stay at Birdsong cottage. Its well located within a few minutes walk of several restaurants as well as the older, historical part of Swellendam. The cottage is situated within a beautiful garden. under trees and was cool in the summer heat. It also has a fire place for winter evenings. We noted that the cottage was tastefully styled and the pictures were an accurate reflection of how it looks. The king sized bed was very comfortable and had quality bed linen. Colin was a great host, friendly and informative. We would stay there again.
