Or you can take the ''shuttle Bus'' to center, ticket 1 euro, , 3 euro for the normal bus. (( getting ticket is easy, just tap your card on the small white device inside bus and that's all... no paper ticket )) ---Behind the house is the beautiful ''Lake of Love'' park, one of the must see in Bruges and crossing it you can make your way to all sights....If you wish a quiet coffee or drink, away from the crowds, by Bus No 2 get off at ''Jan Van Eyk.....''stop, or walk there ,in front of a beautiful square, magnificent church and canal view !!! Charming at night, too!!! ---Just outside the train station there is a Carrefour market.. ---Mrs Katrien, a far beyond'' kind and helpful'' hostess, a very sweet and geniously kind lady, offered us the most warm welcome ever together with important info and map and was at our disposal during all our stay ... prompt replies and exact directions before arrival....no words enough for her!! She is a diamond, indeed !! Talking with her was a huge pleasure !!! ---The house itself is so beautiful and inviting outside that and we felt happy the moment we reached the front garden door !!!! A green paradise-yard with table-chairs to sit and enjoy peace and relaxation !! ---The room is pretttier than in photos, very cosy, with 2 windows with beautiful views to the green back yard and a little far sight of the park and bridge behind the house ! Very relaxing !!!

They had a number of nice details to us. Sara and Klaas made us feel at home instantly. The bathroom is like those in magazines. Spotless clean, warm calming colours and well lit. The owner was very accommodating and available within moments whenever I had a question. I liked my room. It was bright, clean and had everything that I needed. The room was well decorated. Doux Foyer is very convenient to the center of the city. Fabulous bakery is within one block and the beach less than a mile's walk. Tourist information is within blocks as is a bike rental.

The property is around 33 km from Plopsaland, 43 km from St Philibert Metro Station and 44 km from Phalempins Metro Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and The Menin Gate is 14 km away. I had a room in the hotel's recently upgraded Guesthouse. Breakfasts were in their popup restaurant whilst the main hotel and restaurant is being upgraded. The food was excellent, and the room (No 8) was excellent too. All of the hotel's facilities are either in, or just off, the main square, making access to Talbot House, the Hop Museum, etc, all within very easy walking distance. The Hotel de la Paix is a family run business, and the owner and staff are all friendly and helpful. My group has stayed with them many times in the past, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future.

It was clean very well stocked with everything we needed and the owner is the great next-door and we’re very helpful. Grocery store was down the street along with a lovely bakery. Great place to stay.
