The overall house is also nice and in a quiet area of Santa Maria, around 15mins walking from the center. There are a few restaurants and markets also quite close. The owners are very kind and provided us with some useful tips related to Sal! Very appreciated!

Outside the tourist areas this small hotel is in a safe part of tiny Santa Maria, close to the beach and also the city centre. We had the roof top room with a kitchenette (with everything.... even oven, dishwasher, freezer etc) and for our needs on this trip, it was the best hotel room I have ever had, it felt private with its own part of the terrace behind a little gate and had lots of Light and views in all four directions. Staff is wonderful and professional and cares for every guest taking an interest and trying to adapt to their specific needs. They arranged taxis (same price as if you book yourself) and we also had a good car rental experience through the hotel. Their recommendation with regards to local restaurants were perfect. Will return asap.
