I love this place! There is absolutely nothing to complain about! It's a converted residence with one ground floor room and 3 more up a winding staircase. It's a perfect combination of private room and hostel-style interaction with other guests. Owner, Pascal, single-handedly does all the work, keeping the place very clean and tidy. He speaks adequate English. At 25€ (single, mid-May, no breakfast), it's an outstanding value, too. I enjoyed it so much I stayed 3 nights. When there was no availability on the 2nd night, Pascal gave me his room.The four rooms share two bathrooms, half and three-quarter. There is a full shared kitchen/lounge, including an oven and cooking equipment, suitable for preparing full meals. Wi-fi is excellent. There is a constant supply of coffee and tea, a generous set of herbs and spices, ice cubes, and garden lemons. The description says towels and linens cost extra. This is true for towels but linens are included. The rear surroundings are lushly green and the residential street is very quiet. There is a small balcony for smoking or sitting and the large front yard has tables and chairs. There is ample, free street parking. Shopping and the beach are a long walk away, but there is good bus service. Guests should be aware that the rooms do not have external locks so they're accessible when not occupied but I had absolutely no sense of theft danger. If you. like me, don't like standard hotels, this place is for you!

Buffet and continental breakfast options with fruits, juice and cheese are available. During your visit to this guest house, you'll find an in-house family-friendly restaurant that specialises in dinner. Monique was a very gracious host. The house is very interesting and the pool area quite peaceful. Breakfast (especially for those newer to France) could be a bit better, offering croissants, pain au chocolat, etc. For my husband and me however, it was more than fine. We bought a house in the area and if we had more guests than we could accommodate, we would recommend it.

Housed in a historic building, La Belle D'Âme - Guest House features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi in Prades, 45 km from Stade Gilbert Brutus. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 13 km from Marcevol Golf Course. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. Firstly Nadia was such a wonderful host very welcoming into her lovely home. The room where I stayed was such an inviting one with everything you need for a great stay.I had been doing the transverse of the pyrenees on my bike and La Belle D'Ame was my last nights stay before I finished the next day. I can say this was the best and most comfortable place I stayed in the 6 days. After a great night's sleep i was greeted to the most spectacular breakfast on an amazing balcony with stunning views of the pyrenees mountains. Thank you Nadia it was a joy staying at your wonderful home and meeting you I will be definitely coming back for sure and would recommend anyone to do so if down in this area!!

Thierry is a first class cook and his Table d’hôte is not to be missed. He served us a quite exceptional dinner and a superb breakfast. We will be back soon!!
