Very friendly hosts, couldn't do enough for us. Great atmosphere in the bar and friendly locals to chat to. Food was excellent. Much nicer than staying in an impersonal hotel chain. Great base to explore the Scottish borders.

Set in Melrose, in a historic building, 44 km from Dalhousie Castle, Fauhope Country House is a guest house with a garden and shared lounge. This guest house provides accommodation with a patio. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. We arrived later than anticipated and regret that we did not receive more information about the temperature regulation in our room and other features regarding out stay.
