The apartment had loads of space and was well equipped with everything we needed. Our grandson loved that he had his own large bedroom and lots of space in the whole apartment to move around in. It was a quiet neighbourhood and we were well rested after our trips.

Decent distance from the center of the city, which was convenient for us since we had a car. The host also gave us some great restaurant recommendations.

The springs were magical and the restaurant (seafood soup!!) was delicious. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we had the northern lights on New Year’s Eve. It had the perfect Icelandic character: simple, comfortable, safe, practical and very clean.The instructions from the host were very clear at every step. Everything in Reykjavik closes early, but there is a supermarket around the corner that closes at midnight and two wonderful local restaurants serving until 10:00 p.m.
