If you’re looking for a place to stay for 4 or 6 people - look no further. We’ve been travelling for 25 days in Japan with our family of 4 and this has been our best experience. We arrived after riding our bikes all day and were greeted by the hosts with hot orange juice, tips on where to get food and even got a lift to get take out as they informed us the best restaurants might be closing soon. Our kids even got a present in the morning. Everything in the room is thought out - the bunk beds are bigger than normal with power outlets. There are Imabari towels. The showerhead is glorious. There is a lot more space then the pictures give away and you wake up with amazing sea view. If you’re doing the Shimanami Kaido or are looking for a place near the beach - stay here.

Very nice place, the bed is comfortable. It is a quiet place and hosts are kind and it was a pleasure to meet them. They gave us very good advices to where going with our bikes around the islands. PS: if you use e-bike, is possible to charge your battery there.

If you fancy a break from Japanese city life, head for this lovely guest house in Kamijima Islands. Your host Koji can not do enough to help you enjoy your stay. He picked us up and dropped us back @ the port, waited for us to pick up supplies at the supermarket, lent us bikes free of charge, gave us plenty of advice, responded immediately to any queries we had, and even booked our restaurants! Thank you Koji! Exploring this peaceful group of islands was an absolute delight.

We stayed halfway through completing the Shimanami Kaido. Great location, signs make it easy to find. Only just off the route and right near the halfway point. Great facilities and everything we needed for a relaxing night.

The local feeling you get. It is live living like a local, even for just one night. Lovely house to sleep if your are cycling around: it makes the perfect stop.

It's one of the best guesthouses I have stayed at. It is a traditional Japanese house renovated thoughtfully. I wish I had stayed longer.

I came late and had a top bunk, I was offered a bottom for my second night, however I got back late again and they were all taken. Bit then, I was offered a private room. Lovely. Also the private room had the most comfortable bed I have slept on in 4.5 we eks in Japan. So if you are sick of sleeping on the hard japanese beds, give this place a try.

The guy at reception was extremely helpful and kind. This hostel comes prepared with all of the information and resources you need to do the Shimanami Kaido. They also have a discount at a super nice local onsen. The facilities are nice and the value for this place is just incredible.

Remi and Toyo really looked after us so well we had a really lovely time. The traditional house is so beautiful and the futons comfy and warm. Overall a great stay!
