This 2-star guest house offers ski storage space and a lift. Offering free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking guest house has a hot spring bath. If room with futons on floor nice light and warm. Insence bathing was cool but be aware there is no seperate shower.

A free shuttle is available from JR Hakuba Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. Forest views are available from the 2nd floor of the accommodation. The pension has a lovely onsen built into the main building we truly love soaking in at the end of an active day on the slopes. It's the perfect way to close the day. The couple who run the Pension are such nice, helpful people. Especially when it comes to organising/interfacing with travel for day trips or even grocery shopping. 100% recommend

Just 10 minutes from JR Hakuba Train Station on the free shuttle(14:30-21:00), Hakuba Skala Inn features a cosy lounge with a library, a bar and a wood-burning stove.

Hakuba Skala Inn has both Western rooms and Japanese rooms, which have traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. All rooms are heated. The Skala Inn is a quaint, family-run inn that is only about a 10 minute walk from the main drag of Echoland. The inn has a lounge with an upright piano, a massage chair, a couple couches, and a full bar. I can’t remark enough on how nice and hospitable the owners are. On our arrival day, we were picked up by one of the owners from the bus station and were driven directly to a ski shop (Lion Gear Rental, formerly Rainbow Rental)** where we rented skis and ski gear. He was very kind and waited for us while we selected all of our equipment. On the day of check-out, we were driven to the bus station. My partner and I stayed two nights in a private room with a private bath. The inn has prepared breakfast buffet complete with juices, coffee ,and tea. The owners also take a photo of your party at check-out to save to a series of memory books, which date back to the late 1980s! The Skala Inn is also very close to a bus stop that will take you to the ski areas only minutes away. Be sure to arrive to the stops earlier than the planned departure. For ski passes, the Skala Inn offers discounted ski passes via card that is purchased for 100 JPY per ticket. **Lion Gear Rental offered a 20% deal for staying at the Skala Inn, *AND* they even picked up the ski gear from the inn after our day of skiing.

Three of us stayed here for 5 days. We had the best time! The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable with great facilities, including a storage area for all of our ski and snowboard gear. There’s also a bus station right down the street that takes you to Iwatake (which you can then transfer to another bus that takes you to every resort.) The best part were the owners — they were so kind and welcoming even though we did not speak Japanese. They cooked us breakfast and dinner and both were so delicious. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay😁

This guest house is non-smoking and soundproof. The property is beautiful and comfortable. It is a separate private cabin that is attached to the outside of the hosts' home, with your own private entrance, bedroom, kitchen, shower+tub, and toilet . The location is very quiet and peaceful with nice views of the mountainside. You also get your own drying room with a separate heater, which is great for storing and drying ski gear each night. The location is perfect, it is a 1 minute walk away from a shuttle stop with free shuttles to Happo-One, Iwatake, Goryu, and 47. It is a 10-15 minute walk to central Echoland and restaurants. The hosts are great people. They are very kind and helpful. We were able to communicate easily through messaging and Google translate, and they were very responsive. They even offered to take us grocery shopping, got us seats at a good restaurant, and took us to the ski resort one morning. Their dog is cute too. They will make you feel welcome during your stay. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!
