This guesthouse is located along one of the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes and Yunomine Hot Spring, said to be one of the oldest hot springs baths in Japan, is a 5-minute walk from the property. This was the best value for money stay I had this trip. Highly recommend opting for dinner to be included with your stay. The steamed vegetables and meat with rice and soup was a sumptuous, healthy yet delicious meal especially at the end of a day's big hike. The dorm beds were comfortable, and it was a really nice luxury to get a private onsen experience (especially the outdoor one). Though there was no convenience store around, the hostel has a very good range of snacks, instant noodles, buns at good prices so you don't have to worry about not having food around.

You can easily visit them just by walking. The room was spacious, comfortable, and included storage space for personal belongings. This accommodation provides a great overall experience.

Coffee in the lounge in front of the bog tree just what we needed in the morning.

Giovanni's set course meal was absolutely delicious with high quality ingredients, we were glad we paid extra for this. After our trek from Takajiri we were able to enjoy some beers in the sunshine in the garden and it was the perfect end to the day. Would recommend to everyone highly 🌸

If you try it bewsre the birds around shingu who stole half of mine. 🙂
