This hostel has such a lovely and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. Takako, is an incredibly kind and attentive host, that makes the stay extra special. There’s a coffee machine, tea, and a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge, electric stove etc to prepare smaller dishes in the kitchen. The common room is warm and inviting, perfect for meeting other travelers. The beds are comfortable, and the women’s dormitory is nicely furnished. There is a bus stop right outside the hostel and a Lawson is just a few minutes' walk away. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at so far – highly recommended!

I loved everything, but especially the experience I had there, mostly thanks to the kindness that Yama-san and Yuka-san showed me. They were so welcoming, as were the other people who stayed at the hostel. The location is beautiful with wide open windows that show the view of the strait. People are lovely and kind. There is a space to cook your own food, which was very convenient! The bus runs through town, so you can easily catch it to go to Izuhara if you want. There are beautiful areas all around Yamaboushi that are great to check out!

Situated in Shimabara and only 11 km from Shimabara Arena, ブラボーワールド features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. All staff were extremely helpful. Location is amongst farms so nice and quiet.

Located in Sasebo, 22 km from Huis Ten Bosch and 1.1 km from Catholic Ainoura Church, 佐世保 貸切小さな一軒家 GUEST HOUSE 楽楽 Luck-Luck offers air conditioning. The host was so thoughtful in the way he arranged the house and prepared useful items for our stay in the house. From a drying rack/laundry clips, to cooking utensils and various sauces and condiments, to additional bedding, we had everything we needed.

Boasting a sauna, 木木木木 KIGI MOKU MOKU is situated in Sasebo. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guesthouse is exceptional. It is very clean, lovingly and tastefully furnished. Every detail has been thought of, and the location is excellent. The hostess is very charming, extremely kind and helpful, and above all, very attentive. The fantastic breakfast and her incredibly helpful tips gave us an unforgettable stay.

The location is great and the close towns around are just a walk away. If you like walking, its your place. The serenity , quietness and peace all around are stunning. We could feel the love put into the house during its remodeling. Admiring the way to stay as close as possible to original materials and way of building it. The living room is great and wants you to stay overlooking the rice patties all day long.

The decor is impeccable—calm, cozy, and soothing—so it feels like the house itself is Manami: thoughtful and kind. Every detail has been considered: a comfortable tatami bedroom with soft, plush mattress and linens, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and even a little mini-spa corner to unwind. There are two toilets (a rare convenience in Japan) and the location is great for exploring. Manami helped us rent e-bikes and gave us wonderful day-trip plans and cultural insights we would never have discovered on our own. Staying here felt like touching the true spirit of old Japan while enjoying modern comforts. For us, it was a dream place. If you value kindness, authenticity, and quiet beauty, book Oteragoto—you’ll feel Manami’s heart in every corner. She truly deserves all the guests who will love this place as much as we did. 10/10.
