A recently renovated guest house located in Sado, temple stay 玉林寺 features a garden. This guest house provides free private parking, full-day security and free WiFi. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was comfortable with airco and renovated modern bathroom. You will be welcomed by a super lovely gentle Akita dog called Sun. We participated in the morning ritual of Shingon Buddhism at the temple. The service is basically in Japanese but I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience even if you don't understand the language. They kindly explained the essence of Shingon teaching and how this temple stay was established. After the ritual, we had Buddhist breakfast together. It is located in a small community with a view of rice fields and green mountains. If you wish to stay in a unique quiet place in Sado and to get in touch with the local people, this is the perfect place to stay.

Providing quiet street views, ゲストハウス 華屋 (guest house HANAYA） in Sado features accommodation and a shared lounge. This property offers access to table tennis. Haneya is a great guesthouse. Takeuchi and staff are very welcoming and friendly. The guesthouse itself has a real Showa (retro) charm to it - the kitchen facilities are great as is the rest of the guesthouse. We had a great 2 night stay here.

I really loved the comfy beds, the music selection and location was incredible. It is just 20 minutes from Sado Gold Mine and Sado popular bays. The host is very kind and he will help you to arrange anything you could need so do not hesitate to ask him about your stay in Sado.

Külalistemaja igas toas on riidekapp. This is 100% the most memorable accommodation I’ve stayed at in Japan so far, out of two trips. The host is kind, the food is incredibly good and generous portions. Great ryokan experience. ❤️ The bathrooms and bath (onsen-style) are shared, but were always well cleaned. It’s a small ryokan, so there isn’t a lot of foot traffic in these areas anyway. The bath was very relaxing. Most rooms are traditional tatami. There is parking in front of the building if you rent a car visiting Sado Island (which I heavily recommend). I would want to come back to Nanauraso when I come back to Sado.

Very close to a nice beach. There’s an also a cafe inside the facility. I liked our room for too, it was as spacious, common areas also looked nice.
