The host was very friendly and explained to us how to get around, where to eat dinner, buy breakfast and shared some hidden gems of the area. We really appreciated that he even translated all the instruction materials into our native Czech language and we had nice conversation using a translate app which worked perfect. The house is very comfy, super clean and perfect place to relax. The bed is very comfortable. Thank you very much arigato!

Owners were very friendly and recommended some fantastic local onsen. Pickup and drop-off from nearby bus stop made the trip accessible even without a car. Japanese style breakfast (available for small additional fee at check-in) was delicious. We wish we would have stayed a two or three nights instead of just one.

The inn-keeper, Satoe, is the absolute kindest, sweetest host you could ask for. She made us incredibly welcome and comfortable (despite rolling in with two kids and a baby!) and even brought sparklers and small fireworks for the girls to play with one night. The area surrounding is beautiful, including a little restaurant we could walk to and beautiful villages and a lovely onsen within a short drive. The location is great for visiting this region, and even farther afield destinations, like Kanazawa on the north coast, felt quite accessible from here by car.

We arrived during a heavy snow fall so we were really lucky to still get there. They cooked us amazing traditional food and hosts were so wonderful and caring. The futon bed was the most comfortable bed ever, especially with a hot water bottle as a treat.

My stay at Yanafu was truly delightful. The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.

Excellent hospitality. Communication with the Japanese owner not a problem as he could speak good English. Within the unit, cleanliness in tip-top condition. The living room with a very comfortable sofa, huge dinning table sufficient for 6 pax use, nicely sized shower room, etc. Everything within the unit looks newly furnished and in excellent condition. Beddings are very comfortable, perfect for good rest. Air conditioning keeping the unit in comfortable temperature. Supermarket and F&B establishments are just a few minutes drive away. Surrounding environment is peaceful and terrific. This place has been the best my family ever stayed among the many overseas trips our family had. Owner even popped by to say Good Bye despite our family leaving the unit in early hours in the morning. Highly recommended.
