She gave us directions on how to get there by public transportation, helped us find the best rates for the game drive, arranged an authentic Maasai village visit, and even assisted us in getting a ride back to Nairobi. The property is located just about 10mins away from the Talek gate, and is absolutely serene. It felt surreal to be away from everything, with nothing but animals in the vicinity, if you are lucky some zebras or giraffes may even turn up on the door. The property is eco-friendly and runs fully on solar power. The food they served was excellent and they ensure that any dietary restrictions are met. The hosts are truly humble and this was one of the most hospitable places I’ve stayed at. You’ll feel right at home, and everything including game drives will be arranged.

We had a wonderful stay at Leruk Maasai Mara Camp. Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful and the game drive with John was absolutely fantastic - he went the extra mile to show us all the animals we were looking for (and our children of 6,8 and 10 were demanding ;)). The bonfires in the evening were a lot of fun, exchanging stories and we also learned a lot about Maasai during the organized nature walk and village visit. Highly recommend this stay, for backpackers, couples and families! Our kids had a great time playing with John's kids on the grounds.
