We stayed in our own 2 person hut with a little balcony that had comfortable seats and a hammock, ideal for relaxing; almost read my entire book! We went kayaking one day, following the Green Cathedral trail. The kayaks were provided free of charge by the accommodation. They brought us fresh fruit and cold water every time we appeared in the common area which was equally as colorful. Their hospitality was wholesome, welcoming and extremely helpful, especially when we needed to organize transport to our next destination. I cannot fault this place. I would strongly recommend a stay.

We were lucky enough to meet Tola, one of the owners, in person, while Patrick was always just a message away on WhatsApp. Their hospitality was next-level—not just friendly, but genuinely invested in making sure we had the best experience in Kampot. Need a scooter? They’ll sort it. Have a question? They’ll answer before you’ve finished typing. It felt less like staying at a hotel and more like staying with friends who happen to be excellent hosts. A small but brilliant touch was the Welcome Book in our room. Now, I’m a logical guy—former project manager—so I really appreciated how well-thought-out and practical it was. It wasn’t just another generic guidebook; it told the story of the owners, explained how everything in the room worked, and laid out the best of Kampot in a way that made planning effortless. There are subtle sustainability hints woven throughout the book and the hotel itself—little reminders that made me rethink my own habits. At the guest house, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in African cuisine. We loved Hidden Oasis for the super cute, very clean and comfortable bungalows and the wonderful couple who run it! It's exactly as pictured. Also the sheets were the softest we've had in Asia, and the beds nice and not hard like many places. The bathroom is larger than expected. There is a drinking water fountain you can refill at reception. We would highly recommend staying here in Kampot. The owners are super sweet and kind. We rented a motorbike from here and it made getting around easy. Pro tip: we went to nearby hotel Sokchea Kampot Hotel and were able to bargain to use their nice pool from $5 down to $3 per person, towels provided.

The host is a very nice man and he can arrange day tours and transport for your next destination. Overall, I was satisfied with this guesthouse, definitely recommended.
