As I checked in in the evening, the staff left a message through Booking.com app on check-in procedure and what to note during my stay. As I stepped foot through the main gate, it was as if I've entered into another world! This place is tranquil and quiet. The sound of the water fountain immediately brought peace and rest to any tired traveller. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning, though simple, was delicious and really warms you up. I also like that its location is near to the main historical sights, so you can walk around easily. It's my first time staying in a hanok. If I visit Gyeongju again, I'm coming back to Soseoljae!

The owner was literally the nicest one ever, helping us with so many things, doing our laundry and bringing us fresh fruit and breakfast items every day.

In this classic house, you can experience the old housing style and Korean culture. Jenny was very kind and served us a delicious and healthy breakfast.

With city views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The guest house has family rooms. We enjoyed the genius loci of the place - the historical center of Gyeongju. The host was waiting for us as we indicated late arrival. Check-in was perfect as well as the whole stay. We also enjoyed the breakfast because of a wonderfull surprise of our host. She used to be a dancer and during the breakfast she showed us traditional Korean drums and presented different Korean rythms and dance steps. That was marvelous start up of the day - absolutely fitting to the historical place of Gyeongju.

The breakfast was amazing!! I tried everything and liked everything!!! The bed was also comfortable and the floor warm. I like to sit on the floor in general (and even more when preparing my suitcase), so a warm floor was amazing! The location was absolutely perfect and probably my favorite thing! It was right in the middle of the hanok village and close to Gyeongju main attractions. I definitely recommend going to this place. It's really a perfect hanok stay for people who are looking for something more traditional. Note though, that it's been modernized, but it's still traditional, so not a fully western-style bathroom and bedroom (if you are looking for this). I was looking for an experience like that, so I'm extremely happy of my stay! The two owners were really nice and welcoming!
