The owner and his brothers did everything to make our stay very enjoyable: They gave us fresh fruit juices at our day of departure when we didn't want breakfast in the early morning and they even grilled some fishes that we brought at no extra cost in addition to the dinner that we ordered. The rooms are clean and spacious and the 3 bungalows are in a small side street with a nice garden, so it's calm and green around. When the neighbour climbed his palm trees to collect coconuts, we also received fresh coconuts for free. The breakfast was rich and they also offered good dinner (a whole fish, prawns or crab). We took the fish for 13 EUR.

Inoltre nella sala dining ha messo a nostra disposizione anche del the. La stanza è dotata di tutti i comfort ed è pulita. Molto silenzioso l'ambiente, davvero confortevole. Da questa posizione si può facilmente raggiungere il forte, la laguna e il gate di Batticaloa. Pizza hut accanto.

Posizione fantastica. Struttura pulitissima e gestita benissimo da un ragazzo che ha lavorato anche in Italia e parla anche italiano. Finalmente abbiamo potuto bere un vero caffè espresso!!! Colazione abbondante e varia. La spiaggia a tre passi meravigliosa! Vicinissimo anche a vari ristoranti dove poter pranzare o cenare.

Aiden e la sua famiglia sono molto accoglienti, ed è stato davvero bello passare del tempo con loro. La moglie è carinissima e ci ha cucinato un'ottima cena di pesce. La camera è ampia, l'aria condizionata funziona molto bene ed il posto è molto silenzioso. Lo spazio esterno è perfetto per rilassarsi a fine giornata. Consigliatissimo!

We had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka with loads of fruit and she prepared a superb rice and curry for dinner. Holiday Beach Guesthouse is 5 minutes walking from the beach, which is great and where there are only few people. The property is tidy and the garden peaceful. Our villa was well maintained and comfortable. We hope to come back!

This place is twice as nice as the Ubay Homestay I stayed at in Trincomalee for which I paid much more - $30 per night. What's better about it, besides the lower price, is: More spacious, more modern room Fewer bugs (really hardly any) Larger, less smelly bathroom Much quieter setting. Instead of being in the middle of a bunch of other places, including a loud hostel next door, as Ubay was, this place is in a wide open, peaceful setting, the only close neighbor a church. Better breakfast at the same price - 1300 Free, filtered water A larger staff, very attentive, but unobtrusive, only there when you need them The two beaches nearby are quieter and less crowded Much thanks to Usha, the owner's wife, who speaks excellent English. She welcomed me graciously with fresh coconut water and gave me another one when I left.

Arul and his wife are absolutely lovely. Their english is excellent and it facilitates communication. Arul is really keen on sharing local knowledge and culture which was super nice. Room is fine. Location is perfect between the two beaches (I personally prefer Kalkudah) Breakfast and food is delicious. Highly recommend the pancake rolls!

This is by far the most beautiful accommodation we’ve had in Sri Lanka, and if we hadn’t already booked our stay in Arugam Bay, we definitely would have extended our time here. The garden looks like paradise — it feels as if you’re hidden away in the wild, yet you’re just a few steps from a busy beach. Our cottage was beautiful and spotless, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There was also a desk, and when we arrived, we found bottled water, tea, cutlery, and a kettle waiting for us, so we didn’t need to go shopping right away. There’s a restaurant in the garden, and right next to it a small shop where you can buy everything you need. The best thing about this place is the large open-air bathroom with a stunning view of the sky and palm trees — it feels like showering in the jungle under a waterfall. Absolutely beautiful! We spent a lot of time relaxing on the sunbed in the garden and sitting on the porch in front of our cottage. The host was very kind and clearly takes great care of everything, especially the garden. He even gave us a tuk-tuk ride to the bus station when we left, which was great. I honestly thought it wasn’t possible, but this place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. 🌅
