Beautiful rooms, new furnishings inside. The owner Dinusha is very kind, the staff is honest and good, Sunshine Villa really made Sigiriya a beautiful destination. They picked us up at Colombo airport and picked us up safely. In the evening they took us to see elephants at Minneriya National Park. They also had a night safari planned to see the night beauty of Sigiriya. Luckily for us, Sunshine Villa was the place to stay. We had a great experience. I recommend it 100%.

We stayed 2 nights on this beautiful location with beautiful people. The very nice room was situated in a little house with a nice terrace outside. So clean and looked as a totally new place. The service was brilliant. We got all the help we needed. For example for getting a transfer to the pidurangala ( at 5 0’clock in the morning) and a very good taxi driver who took us to our next location (very long drive/ the taxi driver gave us a roadtrip with visits to special places). The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The patties were some of the best I’ve ever had. They also served bananas grown on their own farm, called "Naga bananas." I was surprised by their rich, sticky texture. Whenever I asked for help with things I wanted to do or places I wanted to visit, they immediately made arrangements. They were incredibly reliable and helpful. Also, their child was so cute—it was very heartwarming.

Very clean and comfortable, with working AC and a ceiling fan. Both warm and cold water for the shower. Most notably, the hosts were fantastic! So welcoming and so helpful. When we arrived they drove us to a scooter rental so we could get our scooter. The one day we had to leave early to go to Sigiriya for the day and they packed us a breakfast to go. Dinner at their restaurant was affordable and delicious. On the morning we left, they drove us to the bus station and stayed with us to make sure we caught the right bus. If you’re staying in Dambulla you should definitely stay here. These may be the most helpful hosts I’ve ever had while travelling across Southeast Asia.

Really lovely large room overlooking the fauna - we were lucky enough to see a large squirrel in the tree in the morning. Was well placed for different eating options and for access to Pidurangala which my son wanted to climb the following morning. It was down a driveway with a lovely garden and was quiet. Nice breakfast with choices.
