He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

Habawewa
Accessible via private entrance, all units have air conditioning, soundproofing, desk and a private bathroom with a shower. There is a seating and a dining area in all units. At the guest house, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Great location. Nicely tucked away from the road amongst the forest. Lots of birds including jungle fowl to watch from the patio. Walk in from the road via a pathway. They met us to help carry our bags. Dinner was traditional Sri Lankan curry - vegetarian or chicken. Followed by yoghurt and fruit for dessert. Plenty of food, not spicy and was yummy. Other options for dinner were fried rice or vegetable noodles. Breakfast was packed for us for the following day safari. 2 egg sandwiches, a banana, yoghurt and water. Sufficient for the half day. The best part is the very close lake and dirt road. We went for a walk with binoculars and saw deer, langurs, crocodile, hornbills and lots of other birds and lizards too. A much better, slower paced experience and one not to miss. We booked a half day tour with the host. In hindsight we would have booked a different tour. Pillows weren't overly comfortable but was OK for 1 night.
Wilpattu
Accessible via private entrance, all units have air conditioning, soundproofing, desk and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. A balcony with outdoor furniture and garden views is offered in each unit. At the guest house, the units have bed linen and towels. Backwaters was a lovely spot on the doorstep to the western gate of Wilpattu. They organised a game drive for us (where we saw lots), a river trip and boat ride to our next destination. The rooms and grounds are full of nice, environmentally friendly touches, and the meals are great. Since the centre of the park is a little ways from this gate, a full day game drive turned out to be better than a half day - and allowed usto see lots of elephants at the end of the day.

This is a lovely family business with the ever smiling, hard-working and charming Dylan at the forefront of providing all you need for a very comfortable stay. Beautiful views across the rice fields by day and, perhaps, the odd mischievous elephant at night. Absolute top marks for the whole family who are attentive to all your needs. The kitchen staff deliver delicious food across the day and the meals really are wonderfully presented. Could not ask for more, the whole arrangement, the family, and the staff are just full of genuine character. If you are coming for a National Park tour, then Dylan is superb at delivering a complete package to suit whatever your needs maybe. I must just add real extra praise for his hard-work, and non-stop consideration during our stay. He really is an outstanding host and business manager; you’ll struggle to meet better. Top-end rooms offer more space and comfort [there will be additional rooms soon] but all rooms come with the kind attention of your hosts. There are a couple of bikes for a pedal to the lakes, hike across the paddy fields, or take the dirt roads into a very rural surround. Lots of cute puppies on site, they do bark on the odd night but nothing too irritating. WiFi is patchy, but that should be expected out in wilds. Confucius says; the wise carry a big stick along roads filled with territorial dogs. Highly recommended!

Great location beside the gates to Wilpattu National Park. The owners were amazingly helpful and very friendly, the dinner was amazing and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was all we wished for and we had a lovely stay.
Amazing accommodation, super friendly host and crew. Beautiful new rooms, new bathroom…, luxury looking. Amazing bed and pillows, by far the best stay. Beautiful garden with fresh fruits, tons of birds to watch and according to paw prints, the occasional elephant. Very good food
Great location, very quiet and relaxed. Staff very helpful although their English was limited - Gihan the owner wasn’t there but contactable by phone - Google translate helped with communication. Delicious breakfast especially the pancakes.
A good location close to park entrance. Anton was a charming, knowledgeable host, with excellent english. A keen wildlife photographer. Breakfast and evening meals were very good, and safari breakfast and lunch plentiful and tasty. The safari, organised by Anton, was excellent, especially birdlife and leopard sighting. Binoculars and wildlife books were available to use. The whole stay was very enjoyable.
Spacious room about 10-15 min drive from Wilpattu. Our host was very friendly and arranged a tour to Wilpattu for us. We got breakfast and lunch for along the way which was very delicious. Breakfast next morning was delicious again. We left with the bus which stops 100m from the guest house.
Great host and delicious dinner. We booked the Safari with Wildhideaway and it was a great experience - we saw leopards and other animals. The host drove us to the next bus station and helped us with all our questions. Definitely can recommend it!
Awesome hospitality. Great location. Go for Mahoora preferably as it is more spacious than the Big Game. Day time is warmer but the night is really cozy. Thusitha is great host - very humble, prompt and accommodating.
Dylan is a great host, and goes out of his way to make your stay memorable. He organised a full day safari (really good price) for us, even though we only arrived the day before late at night. He also cooks delicious curry and prepares great breakfast and lunch boxes for the full day safari's. It's also very nice to go for a walk around the place in the evening after the safari. The rooms are simple, but you normally just sleep in the rooms.
Our visit to the hotel was unique. Roshan and his family are great hosts. The accommodation is located in the middle of nature in close proximity to the national park. Both for breakfast and dinner there is a home-cooked buffet with traditional, very tasty food. Roshan organized a unique safari for us - the guides were just great. If you want to visit Wilpattu National Park - Ceylon Resort is a must stay!
