After being away for 17 years, I decided to treat myself to a weekend back home, and this spot in La Gaulette was absolutely perfect. The apartment was very clean, well equipped, and exactly as shown in the photos. The view from the balcony overlooking the lagoon and Le Morne is simply breathtaking I spent hours just admiring the scenery. Communication with the owner was smooth and friendly, and I felt genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived. It’s peaceful, authentic, and perfectly located if you want to explore the south or simply relax. I’ll definitely be coming back this stay reminded me why I missed Mauritius so much.

Beautiful villa with a garden right by the beach. Great owners helped with everything and recommended restaurants and trips in the area. Delicious breakfasts were served in the garden. Everywhere clean and quiet.

The owners of the B&B were simply amazing. Kind, gentle & helpful :-) The location is perfect for peace & quiet.... away from the hustle and bustle of the "touristy" Flic en Flac area. It was a cool & calm place to rest & recuperate. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay is provided - a full kitchen & a lovely cool patio by the inviting swimming pool (I had the bottom unit for my 8 day stay). The walk to the beach is quick, safe & easy & the delicious boulangerie is just around the corner for fresh croissants & delicious coconut cake. Everything one needs is within a short walk from the house - restaurants, home-made gelato, the "shoppie" (where the helpful owner advised on the purchase of my data for my stay) right next to the bus stop (to Quatre Bourne & Port Louis & Cascavelle Shopping Centre). Just a tip....rather shop at Winners in Cascavelle SC, because the supermarket in Flic en Flac is very expensive & very busy with long queues & understaffed at the tills! At Happy Days Guest House you will find barbecue facilities. Restaurants and supermarket can be found within 5 minutes' walk. This is one of the best guesthouses I have ever stayed in. The hospitality of Jean Pierre and sabrina is exceptional. Their house is so tastefully furnished, comfortable and their breakfast is exceptional thanks to Gregory. They give great advice on restaurants and activities in the area. This is a real gem and would highly recommend.
