Il Vaimoe Lodge è nato dalle intelligenti capacità imprenditoriali di Vatie e suo marito Ivan, che hanno saputo costruire dei lodge in una zona dell'atollo di Rangiroa non ancora frequentata dal turismo di massa, a sud-est della Pass di Tiputa per intenderci. Dormivamo con le onde dell'Oceano Pacifico che frangevano a poche decine di metri e di notte vedevamo la Croce del Sud bassa sull'orizzonte di un cielo bellissimo. Vatie, tra l'altro, è una cuoca eccezionale, in pratica tutte le sere abbiamo cenato con piatti della tradizione polinesiana a base di pesce squisiti per un cifra modica. I giorni al Vaimoe Lodge non ce li dimenticheremo mai. Grazie di tutto Vatie!

Great place! We stayed in the apartment that would be comfortable for long stays as well. Fully furnished, very well equipped and super functional. The bed was super comfortable. The huge terrace with a view where we spent most of the time. Henry was amazing host! Going above everything we expected.

She took us in her car all around the island, showed us local " hang out" for nurse sharks, gave us tips on eating out, let us use her bikes. The bungalow is spotless clean and everything in great working condition. A big bonus - drinking water is provided. Transfers were included. A nice fridge is a plus.

Rainwater for the showers and toilets, bring your own drinking water, and solar electric (that worked most of the time). Fans and sea breezes, no A/C. No WiFi, "two-bar" cellular. Good for email, marginal for the internet. There is a "road" to "town" but it doesn't connect to the road from the airport. On a busy day, maybe six cars went by. You want to escape traffic, this is the place. Boats are how you get around. Snorkeling and kayaking right off the beach of our bungalow. Excursions to places around the atol come right to your deck to pick you up. There are some cool adventures, do them. Ilona, the host, is an excellent cook. Polynesian comfort food. Take the meal plan. Bring your own alcohol and snacks for lunch. Easy to get a taxi to the local grocery store from the airport when you arrive, if you ask. Then, taxi will take you to the boat that shuttles you to the place. Our cup of tea, we loved it. Your mileage may differ.

Il punto più forte è sicuramente quello di essere su un motu isolato e paradisiaco Basta fare una piccola passeggiata a piedi per ritrovarsi da soli letteralmente nel paradiso su terra.. piccoli squali e razze che ti passano accanto in acqua, spiagge di sabbia bianca.. davvero un’oasi di pace. Consiglio il bungalow fronte spiaggia. I ragazzi della struttura sono molto disponibili per qualsiasi richiesta. Ci sono navette in barca che ti accompagnano gratuitamente al motu di avatoru se hai un’escursione organizzata Simpatici anche i maialini selvaggi che vagano per la struttura
