She let me check in early (I'm sure it's not always possible) and she gave me restaurant recommendations and told me a bunch of places to go see that were walking distance around town. The room was well decorated, comfortable, and modern. It was great to have a desk. The bed was really comfortable, so if you like beds that are a little soft, this was a good one. The shower was really good. There was a shared kitchen for guests to use, and even though I didn't really use it, it looked good and if I was staying longer, I would've made a few meals. The fridge in the kitchen had individual trays for each room so you could put stuff in there and keep yours separate from everyone else's, that was a nice touch. Overall this was a really fantastic hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I ever get back to Sao Jorge.

This is a family-run place, and the hosts are incredibly kind and helpful. Emanuel, the husband, was especially supportive – he helped organize my hiking trips around the island, provided transportation to and from the trails, and even took me to the airport at the end of my stay without asking for anything in return. If you're looking for a quiet, spotless place with genuinely caring hosts, I highly recommend this place. I would definitely stay here again!
