Fabio and Miriam assisted us in many ways with suggestions for outings, making reservations, helping plan routes and answering any questions we might have. There was staff on-hand 24 hours per day. Both the rooms and the public spaces show off the lovely features of the hotel. We wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending the Solar Dos Cantos to travellers to Ponta Delgada.

Perfectly situated in the city with 3 minute walking distance to restaurants, shops, and parks. The hotel staff is extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The breakfast was fantastic (they always remembered I liked my eggs fried) and housekeeping was amazing. Could not recommend more!

The owner was extremely pleasant and gave us loads of infos about everything we'd need and ask for. Didn't have that feeling of positivity from a host, in a long time. The bed was huge and very comfortable, everything was 'grand', from the lobby to the bathroom
