For context I am a solo female traveller who can speak only a little amount of Korean. I had left my large suitcase at my long term accommodation in Gwangju and just brought my backpack which definitely made things a lot easier. I had a beautiful stay, and after getting lost on the rural bus network getting here the host was quick to comfort me and offered to pick me up from my location. She made me feel so at home despite the language barrier, giving me food and starting the campfire where I stayed for over an hour with little Cookie the kitten purring on my lap. While it might take a little more thought and effort getting here it is certainly worth it for the serenity and hospitality you receive. The breakfast was also lovely. Nothing to fault about my stay, I hope you consider staying too :)

Wonderful traditional room in hanok house in a convenient and creative area between the station and the mountain. Very welcoming host and fabulous fresh breakfast. This is a lovely gentle, creative place to stay made so special by the artist host. The forested mountain and sculpture park are a short walk up the steep hill behind for views into the far distance, and there are also streets of murals nearby. Highly recommended.
