We didn't use the pub/restaurant, but again, it is literally across the road. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking items so you can easily self-cater.

Bayview House was my favourite accommodation in our 3 weeks holiday in the UK. I stayed there with my husband and adult daughter for 3 nights. It is the most beautiful cottage full of old world charm. A real Seaside cottage from the past maintained frozen in time. We were met by our Host Susanne who showed us around the home. She was extremely helpful. We arrived on a sunny day and she advised us to visit the Cliffs Of Moher that day before the weather turned. This was great advice as the rain and winds hit the next morning. The Cottage sits on the edge of Lahinch Bay with views across to Lahinch. Susannes' garden is gorgeous and well maintained. Adjacent to the house are the ruins of an old fisherman's hut. From the upstairs living area you can look across the water to some rocks where we saw Puffins with the binoculars supplied. It was a real treat. The views out of every window were gorgeous. It's a short walk in to town where we had dinner at the local pub which was delicious. The Cliffs Of Moher is a short drive. Of course they are spectacular!!

Doolin Court has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Doolin, 9.3 km from Cliffs of Moher. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Very spacious and close to everything.

Quilty Holiday Cottages - Type B is set in Quilty, 27 km from Cliffs of Moher, 45 km from Dromoland Golf Course, and 45 km from Dromoland Castle. This holiday home features free private parking, luggage storage space and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated less than 1 km from Spanish Point Beach. Property was a great base point for exploring the western side of the island. We had a spectacular view of the ocean from cottage 12. The kids especially loved the donkeys behind our cottage. We enjoyed all of the amenities and could have stayed longer, but time didn’t allow. The cottages themselves are basic, but perfectly adequate for our family of 6. It’s hard to find a place to sleep a large family, and this was a great set up for us. We would absolutely stay again.

The cottage was perfect, the owner came over to meet us in person and introduced themself, and the local restaurant was excellent! We walked to it each night.

Built in 1793, Carrygerry is a charming country house on Ireland’s scenic County Clare Coast. It boasts an award-winning restaurant overlooking Shannon Estuary, individually designed bedrooms and free Wi-Fi. Loved this Manor type country house. Really quite an amazing surprise. I only booked as a sleep over on the way to Shannon. What a surprise to see it was a very professionally managed establishment. There was a bar and restaurant albeit we were not hungry. The room had a four poster bed. It was so traditional but not contrived like the touristy castles. We slept so well in a fab comfortable bed. The room was very big. Table and chairs, walk in wardrobe/ dressing room. It is a fine country house from a bygone Anglo Irish day. It was Christmas week and there was a display of country Christmas hampers for sale with local produce in the lobby. Very reasonably priced compared to the rubbish in the big shops in Dublin. No pressure to sell either. I would certainly stay again and hopefully have time for breakfast next time. We loved it. Thanks to all the staff.
