Kadek and his family welcomed us so warmly that we immediately felt like part of the family. He patiently answered all my questions (I had many) about Balinese culture. The trip to the waterfalls with him was fantastic, even though I could still feel the muscles in my legs days later, because of the countless stairs. :-)))) The evening trip to the rice terraces and the wonderful sunset were especially great. Apart from a few others, we were the only tourists. The prices, both for renting a scooter and for the excursions, were very reasonable. Our room was clean, the bed was pleasantly firm, and the garden offered a beautiful view. The breakfast was good, and I found the recommendations for restaurants nearby and in the center of Munduk very helpful. It's worth noting that a scooter is very convenient. However, if you don't like riding a scooter, Kadek offers to help you out as a driver, and everything can be arranged. We've been traveling for a year now, and it's naturally an extraordinary experience to be greeted with such warmth and helpfulness. We felt extremely welcome and accepted. For me, being told that you are welcome back anytime is one of the most beautiful forms of love.

Amazing stay at Laras Homestay ! The rooms are new, spacious, and the view is simply amazing. It's very quiet (night and day) and the room is comfortable with a little couch, many towels and pillows and a good blanket. The food delivery option is really nice, good and pretty cheap and they give you food in a plate directly on your terrace. You can reach the trailhead for the waterfalls with a steep walk up but it's close by.

The place exceeded all our expectations! It is a fantastic and secluded location with views over local rice fields on both sides and mountains in the background. There are even some beautiful sunsets. The cabin is also almost new, and everything worked flawlessly. It was wonderful to have both an outdoor shower and an indoor bathroom. The host Ripa really deserves praise. He did everything to make us feel welcome and helped with renting a scooter, finding exciting places to visit in the area, and even the possibility of getting a massage almost right next to the cabin. You really get value for your money here, and we could easily have stayed longer than 5 nights. Both the cabin, the view, and the area are incredibly beautiful with few tourists, allowing you to get close to the local life. We hope to return another time. Thank you for the stay and an unforgettable experience!

We had a real good time at the wana wooden house. Komang and Totok have been really welcoming. We strongly recommand to do a daily tour with Totok, it really worth it. It was one of our best experience in Bali and Totok is an amazing person. Thank you again to both of them.

Fantastic location, peaceful and tranquil setting, incredible views, kind and sensitive host, spotless room, comfortable bed, yummy home-cooked food, a bath with a view, great tours with a friendly and informative guide (host’s cousin) through breathtaking scenery to see amazing sights (Buddhist monastery, hot springs, rice paddies, coffee plantation, local farms, waterfalls, temples, jaw-dropping lake vistas) and to get an experience of local life. This was a beautiful little house all to ourselves which was a great quiet spot. Great to be away from the crowds and feel like you’re in the real countryside. Don’t need to have a pool up in the mountains so we didn’t miss that for a few days. The family is all really friendly and great to talk to. We did some cooking lessons which was a great chance to eat some different foods and get involved in cooking. The food they provided for breakfast and dinner was also delicious. The grounds are beautiful and the fields and roads around are great for exploring. We walked into town which was also a nice adventure.
